memorials to our special friends...
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal who has been especially close to someone dies, that pet goes to the Rainbow Bridge.

There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food and water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. Animals who were ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them from days and times gone by.

The animals are happy and content, except for one thing: they miss someone very special to them; the person they left behind.

All of the animals run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; his eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to break away from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. Happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.

SPIRIT

SPIRIT ~ January, 1993-March 24, 2000

Our dearest angel--Spirit one of our FIV+ kitties who came to us from Virginia where he had been living in a feral colony. He never asked for anything but had so much to give. We all love you so much sweet Spirit.

Yeager

YEAGER ~ January 1990-March 20, 2000

Poor little thing...never got the chance to feel the love that he deserved again. He was dumped by the only owner he ever knew...and died shortly thereafter. We loved you sweet boy.

Charlie

GOOD TIME CHARLIE BROWN ~ October 1999-June 5, 2000

It was much too early for Charlie to leave. Just a baby....you couldn't make it through the heartworm treatments. We are so sorry we couldn't save you.

Stormy

STORMY ~ November 2000-January 2001

Just a little baby....you tried so hard to stay alive. Born outside in the cold winter to a feral Mommy, you finally knew you were loved and wanted.

Tigger Too

TIGGER TOO ~ ~1994-December 2000

Sweetie...you came to us with FIP. You were sick and knew that you didn't have much time. You took ever ounce of love that you were offered and gave back twice as much. After years out on the streets we are so glad you felt love and warmth for the last few months of your life.

Drifter

DRIFTER ~ ~1998-May 2001

Dear Drifter.....you were so happy to finally be rescued. You thought things were finally going to be good after being alone and on your own for so long. But you couldn't fight the feline leukemia that ravaged your little body. We love you, Drifter...know that always.

Bear

BEAR DAVID ~ March 3, 1994- May 24, 2001

Bear David....you were the "sweetest ferret we have ever seen." You put up a great fight...thank you for the love and tickly kisses.

Sooty

SOOTY ~~2000 - June, 2001

Just one day. Poor sweet Sooty. You only had one day to know that you were loved and cared for. We will always remember you and were honored to have met you and loved you for that one day.

Bear

OREO ~ May 22, 1985 - August 15, 2001

The strongest little girl we have known. Despite everything she had been through and how sick she was, she never showed it... she didn't want us to worry about her. We miss you so much Little O.

Paige

PAIGE ~ ~1994 - January 17, 2002

Paige...you fought your cancer so hard...you had to raise your little kittens that you loved with your whole heart. But as soon as they were okay, you decided you could go. We hope you are cuddling iwth all of the kittens that you lost along the way. We will see you at the bridge sweet girl.

Louie

LOUIE ~ ~1994 - January 17, 2002

The strongest most loving boy there ever was. He battled so hard for almost two years fighting what cats twice his size couldn't have managed. What a sweet and loving soul that deserved better than what he had. We love you so very much Louie.

Jerry

JERRY ~ ~1987 - January 2003

For such a little fireball, you had so much love to offer. Jerry, you were on your own struggling for so long, it was hard for you to allow people to "take care of" you. I know you loved us, though. I will never forget your little eye looking at me...letting me know it was okay....bless your sweet little heart.

Bilbo

BILBO ~ ~1992 - April 2003

Poor little boy never had it easy. First FIV, and no one willing to foster he lived his days in a heated garage with other FIV+ kitties. We wish we could have given you more. Our hearts were with you until the end sweet Bilbo...we loved you!

PERCY

PERCY ~ ~2000 - August 2003

Sweet little Percy was so sick....he had lived on the streets for most of his life. He passed away before we had to make the decision to euthanize him. The poor little thing had been hanging on by a thread...it turns out he was really only 1-2 years old but looked to be a very old cat. Poor little Percy...please say a prayer for his little soul.

Rio

RIO ~2000 - December 2003

The gentle soul of Rio returned to his creator on December 17, 2003. May God comfort him forever. - Mallory Kolick, Rio's adopter
