     GUINNESS ~ Male
    Black Lab Mix
    Approximate Birth Date: February 1998

Poor Guinness. He has had a pretty hard life. He hasn't had much good happen to him and will need a very special owner as he spent the first few years of his life abused and tied to a tree in his owner's back yard. He is very devoted to his people and will do anything for you...but he has some issues that will require someone very special to save him from a life alone in a kennel. First, Guinness cannot be placed in a home with cats. Also, certain other male dogs are not a good match with Guinness as he is very protective and does not respond well to other dominant male dogs in his territory. If you can work with Guinness and can offer a home environment without cats and other male dogs....Guinness will be the most devoted and smart best friend you could ever have.

Sweet little Star is a 10lb. 9 year old female Yorkshire terrier. She's very gentle and loving, gets along well with dogs and cats, and she loves people.  Little Star was surrendered by her owner when her owner tragically lost her home and was unable to care for her any longer.

Star is not completely housetrained at this time (most litle dogs are not ever completely houstrained!) She is a very sweet and loving little dog that is looking for a loving home where she can spend her senior years.

      PEANUT ~ Male
    Chihuahua
    Approximate Birth Date: July 2006

Peanut is a darling little male Chihuahua. He weighs in at just 3 1/2 lbs....but should weigh about 5 lbs....he is just so malnourished! He was found hovering on a busy downtown street...so scared, starving, just bones and skin. He is sweet and as cute as they come. Peanut loves everyone....is gentle and so sweet and loving...he is a very special little boy!

Peanut will need someone who understands his special needs. He is not totally potty trained...and probably never will be. He needs special help with his diet and needs a very gentle and loving owner willing to work with him for the trest of his life. He would do best in a home without small children or large dogs because he is so small and could be hurt very easily. He is a jewel...won't you make him yours?

      DEXTER ~ Male
    Long Haired Chihuahua Mix
Approximate Birth Date: May 3, 2008

Dexter is a smallish golden Daschund/Chihuahua mix boy who is just absolutely adorable with a longish body and short little legs! He weighs just under 10lbs...and is a real cuddle bug. He was just a baby when he was dumped "out in the country" by someone. Left alone wandering the roads and searching for scraps of food, this little baby was just bones when he was picked up by the county animal control. He sat and waited and waited for someone to come to get him....or to offer him a new loving home. But his day didn't come...and he was scheduled to be euthanized....becasue there just wasn't room for all fo the animals being dropped off by their owners.

In the nick of time, we were able to pull Dexter...so his story did not end on that fateful July morning. After going through a lot of medical treatment to get his weight and digestive system back to normal (the poor puppy had been livign on trash and sticks, and anythign else that he could find to eat) he is a happy loving little puppy. He loves people and does well with other dogs. He will probably stay under 15 lbs. and will be the love of someone's life. Once you see him in person...you will just smile...he is sooo darn cute! Could you be Dexter's perfect match?

      AMELIA ~ Male
    Miniature Pinscher
    Approximate Birth Date: November 2007

Amelia is a darling and very spunky little Miniature Pinscher ("Min Pin") Puppy. This poor little pup was bought from a back yard breeder and then, when she was too "active" and when she was not potty trained by 12 weeks of age, she was put out on a chain on a cloths line alone in the backyard to live out the rest of her puppyhood and life. This poor little girl was just dying inside....left there alone, day after day. She was also starving as the food she was given was littel and often she was forgotten for days at a time.

Thankfully Amelia was rescued by PetPromise and now she is a happy....and very wiggly and active little girl puppy! She weighs in at 11 lbs....and she moves 100 miles a minute! She kisses and loves and just wiggles all over with happiness when she is with you. She is a true love bug! She is not totally potty trained yet....and she does like to run and to chew....so if you are not ready for a puppy...Amelia is not for you! If you are interested in giving Amelia a forever home....pelase complete an Adoption Application....she will be "wiggling" for you!
