    LEO

    LEO ~ Male
    Chihuahua Mix
    Approximate Birth Date: November 2007

Poor, poor little Leo. This sweet little 12 lb. Chihuahua Mix has been through so much in his short time on earth. Unfortuantely, Leo was not treated well by the person who owned him previously. Because he was abused, he is very fearful of people and does not trust anyone.

He wasn't a bad dog, really. He just had never gotten the training or socialization that so many little dogs need to help them adjust to a world of giants, so he snaps at people out of fear. He does great with other small dogs....and is working on housetraining.

It will take a lot of time and love to get this guy to trust again...and we are willing to give him that chance. Leo would NOT be a good dog for a family with children or for people who do not understand dogs who nip when afraid. Leo needs a very special home that is willing to give him the time that he needs to trust them...and who is willing to protect Leo from ever being harmed again.

    LILY ~ Female
    Black Lab Mix
    Approximate Birth Date: May 2008

Lily is a very special girl. Not more than a puppy herself, she was tossed out and left on THE SIDE OF THE ROAD with two 6 week old puppies. She was so lovign and loyal, she stayed there day after day, pacing back and forth, waiting for her owners, the people that she loved and trusted to return. They nver did.

Lily is very sweet and gentle...but is afraid after what happened to her. She still looks for her owners...probably believing they will be back for her. What a sweet girl. Just about a year old now, she needs a place where she can be safe and loved forever. She is great with cats, dogs, kids, anyone...but she needs a gentle and loving hand (she is afraid of new situations and change). Can you love Lily?

    MAXX ~ Male
    Great Pyrenese Mix
Approximate Birth Date: March 1, 2009

Maxx is a very sweet and VERY BIG Great Pyrenese Mix Puppy. He loves everyone he meets...and is docile...and a big friendly boy. He was dumped by his owners at just 9 weeks of age....probably because he has juvenile catatracts. He was dumped on the street where he was found running after cars.

The opthamologist assures us that maxx can see pretty well despite his cloudy eyes (which was probably due to a toxin he was exposed to while in utero)...and he will do just fine despite his little "diability."

In the meantime, Maxx is living in his foster home....hoping to be adopted. Maxx is working on potty training, does great with other animals and jsut loves all people and children too! He barks for attention....and like to play...but is calm of r al large puppy...but he is still a puppy! If you are interested in giving Maxx a forever home....pelase complete an Adoption Application.

    SURA ~ Female
    Husky/White Shepherd Mix
Approximate Birth Date: January 29, 2009

Special Needs!!! Poor little Sura. Born at a puppy mill she lost her leg and part of her tail in an overcrowding situation. She was left in that cage, with half of her leg and tail gone for days until a kind hearted rescuer came in and demanded that she be released to her. When she came to us, Sura was just a baby...learning to walk without her leg. She was given the name Sura (which means "green leaf /new life" in Inuit)and was given a new chance at life.

She has goen through surgery to repair the damaged protion of her leg and to make it easier for her to get around. Today she is a very smart and happy puppy. She learns quickly! She can sit, stay, bring int he newspaper. She is doing well on housebreaking, she likes other pets (though she will chanllenge other dogs for the alpha postion.) She is gentle and loving and LOVES children of all ages. (She likes to be near them and seems to be very maternal with them.) She is doing great with the three legs she has...and will be a great friend for any family! She has one blue and one golden eye...and is PURE white. She is long and lean...and is striking when you meet her. (her photos do not do her justice.) She is a very special dog...people just stop to look at her and feel drawn to her. She is smart and special....she deserves someone specail too! Can you open your heart and your home to Sura?

PRECIOUS, PRINCESS & ANGEL ~ Females
    Chihuahuas
Approximate Birth Date: April 2003 and June 2006

These three Chihuahua girls need a loving home. Precious (the mother of Princess & Angel) is 6 years old and the two girls, Princess & Angel, are 3 years old. They are the sweetest girls...and were very much loved by their owner. But due to the economy...and some bad luck...the owners of these beautiful girls lost their home...and wanted them to have a good loving home...even if it couldn't be with them.

It is a very sad situation for everyone involved...but no one is more sad than Precious, Pricness & Angel. What will they do without the family that has loved them for their whole lives? We are hoping to help them find a home where they will be loved and cherished...as this is breaking everyone's hearts!

All three girls love each other and it would break their hearts to be split up...so we would like to find a home that would adopt all three. They sleep together, and go out together...and walk on leashes together...they are definitely a family unit...and it is really fun and cute to have them all curl up on your lap at once. They do great with cats, other dogs, and children. They love children...and men too...they actually (especially Princess) seek out men to be with...which is pretty special as it is less common in some of the smaller breeds!

Precious is the smallest of the three...and the lightest in color....she is so gentle and sweet. She will just sit in your lap for hours. She has two large masses on her belly that could be breast cancer so we are praying for her as we await the results.

Princess is the biggest of the three (weighing about 7-8 lbs). She is the darkest of the three and the daughter of Precious. She is also the quietest..a.nd takes the longest to feel comfortable with a new person. She is VERY gentle...and is the most well trained. She will sit right on you and cuddle up next to you as soon as she feels safe.

Angel is the smaller daughter of Precious (she looks almost exactly like Precious). She is the little Alpha dog. She tries to rotect her Mommy and her sister. She is the first to bark (and gets the others barking at times) and she is the first over to check things out...and to eat, etc. She is the most confident of the three, and once she has checked you out and stopped barking she is all over you wagging her tail, etc.

These are three very special little girls...that deserve a forever home where they can stay together and be loved.
